Weisinger's
produces limited-production wines from
quality grapes grown in the Rogue Valley. Our growing
region boasts a Mediterranean climate
with hot
dry summers and cool evenings, making
this an ideal
site for numerous grape varietals.
Our Estate Vineyards, situated at 2160 ft. elevation,
is located adjacent to the winery,
hold our
original Gewurztraminer
(planted
in 1978), Pinot Noir (planted in 2003),
and Tempranillo vines (planted in 2006). This vineyard
faces eastward,
with shallow
sandstone soils.
Pompadour
Vineyard (image of grower Arnold Kohnert to the left)
is a second site for many of our Bordeaux varietals
and Semillon.
This southward-facing vineyard is located across
the valley from Ashland. These soils consist of
more
clay with river rock. Here, and at all of our vineyards,
our grapes are hand-harvested.
